"This isn't Kansas, Toto." - Living in the new, digital world:
    Lessons for Adults and children

Presented by Dr. Patricia Fosarelli, MD, DMin

Course Description:  The digital world is here to stay, and while it is capable of offering information and opportunities previously unavailable to most of us, that capability is a double-edged sword. Information that is false can be passed off as truth; comments that are mere opinions can appear to be facts; websites that are inappropriate for anyone can be accessed by the youngest or most vulnerable; persons who appear to be peers on social media can be predators; humiliating social media posts can lead the most susceptible to harming themselves.

    DATE: March 25, 2025
TIME: 3-5 pm AKT, 4-6 pm PT, 5-7 pm MT, 6-8 pm CT, 7-9 pm ET

Registration fee: $30 for LFCNA members/$50 for non-members
Nursing Contact hours provided: 2.0 (see below)

OBJECTIVES:  At the end of this session participants will:

    • identify the various electronic media available today – what they offer and to whom they offer it
    • be able to identify measures to protect the children elderly and mentally challenged individuals from being victimized
    • will identify two ways we can protect ourselves from false information on the internet
    • be able to identify three strategies for how this information can be used in ministry.

This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. To receive contact hours for this event, attendees must attend the entire event and submit a completed evaluation form.
