Nurses often have the privilege of supporting someone who is dying and/or their family. At those times, the goal is to provide comfort and compassion in the dying process. This series will better equip the nurse to offer care and presence to an individual and family during the dying process.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Name two ways to die
2. Articulate how dying can be compared to infant development
3. Name three of the dynamics of dying offered by the speaker
4. Identify three questions that should be asked of an individual, three to four months prior to death
5. Identify three factors that will increase the length of labor as death approaches
6. Articulate three signs that suggest that death is eminent
7. Identify two messages that are useful for a person to hear at the time of his/her death

September 25 – Integrating Content into Practice: Questions and Thoughts …
TIME: 3-5 pm AK Time, 4-6 pm PT, 5-7 pm MT, 6-8 pm CT, 7-9 pm ET (NOTE: the September 25 event is 90 minutes in length)
Registration fee: $40 for LFCNA members/$60 for non-members
Contact hours provided: up to 5.25 hours if you attend the entire series (see below)
